I have a couple of ideas for next saturday...

1. Have a poll for people to participate in when they sign up, like this:

Do you have a computer? O yes O no
Do you have access to the internet? O yes O no

If there is people without internet access, we can hand them a floppy disk w/ netzero on it, or get some of those free AOL disks. And if they don't have a computer maybe we can get some Dell flyers or something.

2. Need to talk to RCCA, and get the website published in the track directory, also.

3. Maybe put www.adamscreekrc.com at the top of the sign up sheet.

I just think its going slow since its indoor season. Anyone else got any ideas?

I agree that it is probably just slow because of the season. I am going to throw out some suggestions just to help get the ball rolling. You have probably already thought of most of this anyway.

Putting Car of the Week pictures is good, everybody wants to see their car out there, right?

Most people probably don't know that the race results are being posted semi-regularly.

How about more pictures of the races and racers in action?

Ask the Hobby Shop if they want to advertise a Weekly Special.

Product reviews?

Get some info from John about the plans for the outdoor season. When will we be starting to build the new oval track, how will racing on two tracks at the same time be handled, etc.

I think when the sun comes back out in the Spring time the traffic on here will really pick up.

Very good idea. Someone should talk to Deriald about it, or I suppose I could call and ask him about it tomorrow if he isn't busy.

yeah, it's a lot of work to do this site i don't think most people realize that. i mean my little contribution is the pics that i post now and then and that takes up a lot of time cutting and cropping and downsizing the file sizes from 700k to something a little more realistic for downloading. i like doing it though but some nites i just don't want to hassle with it. i'll be out there this saturday nite though with the camera so everyone needs to start cheezin' it up for me. one thing though is people ask me questions about stuff on this site but i still have yet to see any of them post something. don't be shy guys, we all know each other. might as well put it out there in cyberspace for all to see.

hey harjo i would suggest getting a camera were u can change the resolution if u dont already have one because it takes it down on the k's quite abit

well whenever i win the lottery i'll go buy another camera. i can take low res shots just don't like to. there's more of a shadow on the cars when it's in low res. guess u thought i was griping. just telling it like it is.

Harjo - If you want you can email the pics before you post them and I can reduce the quality down to 15-25K which will drastically speed up the download speed.
